Born in Brooklyn, NY, Carrie's musical journey began at the age of 5 with her first guitar. Self taught by 8, it wasn't long before she was on stage at school and by her teens performing in local cafes and clubs.

In her early twenties, one way ticket and guitar in hand she was on her way to Europe. She sang in the streets of of European cities gathering hugh crowds and eventually landing a job in a nightclub in Barcelona, Spain. She then made her way through Italy and eventually to the deserts of Israel camping out in the Sinai desert amongst the camels and bedouins even finding a resort there to perform in. Upon returning home to NYC she quickly became a fixture on the local music scene.

Carrie was featured as a rising star in the national documentary TV series "Rap to Rock." She then found a manager in London and formed The Carrie Starner Band. They played the clubs and bars and live radio in London to rave reviews. Carrie's song lyrics have been published in two of Sheila
Davis's acclaimed books on lyric writing as examples of distinguished writing.
